“Taste Little Italy” Wine & Food Show is one of the signature events of La Vendemmia. Come and sample food prepared by Preston Street restaurants and Italian wines at Sala San Marco. Guest Chef Pasquale Vari will be conducting a live pasta demostration.
Patricia Occhiuto of Mini Italia will be sampling a variety of balsamic vinegars from one that is 4 years old to one that is 20 years old including balsamic vinegars pressed with fruits. Mini Italia is an importer and distributor of fine European products. From cheeses to cold cuts, from oils to balsamic vinegars, from pasta to cookies, www.miniitalia.ca.
Register before September 1, 2005 for a chance to win your own Sommelier and Chef for an evening.
Watch live cooking demos, learn about Italian Olive Oils and sample all that Little Italy has to offer.
Proceeds in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa.

In Italian tradition, harvest time is when Farmers gather together to celebrate the earth's bounty, catch up with their neighbors, and offer their produce. It is a time of merriment, celebrating the end of the intense work involved in planting, growing, and harvesting. Wine -- being such an integral part of any gathering of friends -- has its own celebratory harvest tradition.
